Paint the Plow

With winter just around the corner, District 1 is getting help from schools in Mercer County in the creative outreach project to promote winter safety called "Paint the Plow."

Schools are asked to paint the plows with a winter safety theme, weather motif, or even school mascots. These plow blades will run in the areas of the respective school districts.

A panel of judges will select a "Best in Show" for each county, and PennDOT Facebook fans vote for their "fan favorites" on the PennDOT Facebook page. Voting ended Tuesday, Oct. 10. Also, a "People's Choice" winner is determined through charitable donations during PennDOT's Mercer County Open House event.
