Paint the Plow

With winter just around the corner, District 1 is getting help from schools in Mercer, Warren, and Forest counties in the creative outreach project to promote winter safety called "Paint the Plow."

Schools are asked to paint the plows with a winter safety theme, weather motif, or even school mascots. These plow blades will run in the areas of the respective school districts.

A panel of judges  select a "Best in Show" for each county, and PennDOT Facebook fans vote for their "fan favorites" on the PennDOT Facebook page. Voting for Mercer County ended Tuesday, Oct. 10. Also, a "People's Choice" winner is determined through charitable donations during PennDOT's Mercer County Open House event.

Voting for Warren and Forest counties is now closed.
